Alisha will represent the United States on the National Cycling Team during the month of April. She will be racing all the spring classics, and finish up with a stage race in San Marino before heading back home.

USA Cycling announced plans for its 2007 Women’s National Team program as seven women have been named to the National Team for several European races in April. Participants include Kori Seehafer (Louisville, Colo./Team Lipton), Lauren Franges (Ashville, N.C./Team Lipton), Brooke Miller (Los Altos, Calif./Team Tibco), Rebecca Larson (Gainesville, Fla./Aarons), Alisha Lion (Morgantown, N.C./Cheerwine), Alison Powers (Boulder, Colo./Colavita-Sutter Home-Cooking Light) and Christine Thorburn (Sunnyvale, Calif./Webcor). The seven athletes will compete in several races in Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Italy, including the Tour of Flanders World Cup on April 8, the Ronde van Drenthe World Cup on April 14, the Ronde van Gelderland on April 21, La Fleche Wallone World Cup on April 25, the Giro di San Marino May 4-6 and the Magi Pache Time Trial on May 6.
4/1 Update – Alisha will not be racing with the US National team for this trip to Europe. The team schedule has been updated and Alisha will join them for some European races later in the season.
