Okay- I have to give another plug to my massage therapist. LAL CHAND IS THE BEST THERAPIST EVER!!! It’s official.

Any of you who want a GOOD massage, have any kind of nagging injury or pain from your sports, or you just want a relaxing feel-good stress reliever… you have got to go to Athletic Edge and see Lal.

This is why Lal is so great– I pulled and irritated my inner right quad muscle somehow last week. I don’t know how I did it, but dang it hurt! My quad was swollen and it was bothering me so much I couldn’t ride or run. I could barely bend my right leg without pain.

So what did I do?? Call Lal up and scheduled an emergency appointment. He saw me immediately- 30 minutes every day right after my workouts, and after each session I saw major improvement. By Friday my leg was totally fine. I was able to ride my bike on Thursday evening.

Now of course I was a good client and I iced my leg and took the proper precautions when I wasn’t seeing Lal… meaning that I backed off of my training until the pain was gone.

However, I know I wouldn’t have been back out on the road on my bike so quickly if it hadn’t been for some “TLC” from Lal.

Okay- I mean it, seriously, if you need to get some injuries fixed, Lal at Athletic Edge is the place to go to get your ailments cured!

Wow, it is SO hot here in Holly Springs. We have excessive heat warnings issued from the National Weather Service for the next few days. This weekend we have a “cold front” coming through so our high temps will only reach the mid 80’s. haha, but the heat turns back up on Monday.

I went on a great run today with Dorothy and Leigh at Umstead Park, then I went for a swim. This evening Todd and I went out on a short spin around Holly Springs. I took the chance to explore a few roads that were unpaved before Joe and I left to go to Munich and now they are nicely paved… so now thanks to my short exploration ride with Todd I know where they go!

This weekend I am looking forward to hanging out in Raleigh and doing some great rides with Diana and Alicia, possibly Joe will come out and make an appearance! Yippeee…

Next weekend will be my first Triathlon race, the Bandit’s Challenge in Wilkesboro. Until then I hope I don’t melt in the heat, stay cool out there…
